What is SCEC?

SCEC stands for Security Construction & Equipment Committee, which is the Australian Governments official protective security adviser.

SCEC is an interdepartmental committee that regularly reviews and endorses security equipment for use by Australian Commonwealth Departments and Agencies. It produces a catalogue that lists all endorsed products. These products have met strict testing requirements and relevant SCEC standards.

Many government departments and agencies are required to only use SCEC endorsed equipment.
